Numerous Universities and colleges in Punjab took part in the celebration. Students & Faculty of the CSE Department also participated in the celebration. The Inauguration event was inaugurated at 9:00 A.M. at Senate Hall with a welcome speech by the Director of IIT Ropar, followed by the addressing speech by the Chief Guest of the event Sh. H.B. Srivastava (DG, DRDO) and then a keynote address by Mr Abhishek Goyal ( Global Practice Head, Infosys). At 11:15 A.M, a Tea Break began at Admin Building which rejuvenated everyone. The Tea Break was followed by the Keynote address by Dr Jitendra Sharma (MD & CEO, AMITZ), Dr Kartik Kumar ( Deputy Director, Saint Gobain Research India ), and the closing remarks by Associate Dean (R&D). The kind word of the renowned orators influenced, motivated, and encouraged the students to work with technology, make innovations and take India to new heights of achievements.

At 1:30 P.M, lunch Break began and then by 2:00, the Tech Exhibition began where the students demonstrated their posters, products, project models, and apps. There were many items displayed at the event. They were made by the students with the help and guidance of their teachers. The presenters were excited and confident while explaining about their models. All projects and models were captivating. The students were also keen to learn and gain knowledge from it. The aim to organize such an exhibition was to make the students aware and, develop their interest to research further other than what they have learned from books. These types of events are a source to increase knowledge and interest in the field of Science & Technology.

At 4:00 P.M. students went on-campus tour with their assigned coordinators. Lab visits were the prominent feature of the campus tour as labs of different engineering fields were visited where students witnessed new technology machines, robots, and equipment. The Lab Coordinators demonstrated the working of those machines and students were also involved in asking doubts and learning new stuff from them. In an endeavour to promote a scientific attitude among budding young students, this event was one of its kind which ended up at 5:30 P.M. It was overall an exciting and memorable education trip where everyone not only enjoyed the day but also interestingly learned something new. Looking forward to more of such trips.
