 Steps for Transparency: IKGPTU starts Monitoring of 107 Exam Centre through Technology

To take the transparency on top in its Examination system, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University is proving its Technical reach by monitoring its 107 no. of Examination Centers from One point control room established at University’s Main Campus. University has also started On Screen Evaluation system. Even University has taken many initiatives during current Examination Session November-December 2018. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma inspected these all initiatives in the examination department after a special workshop held at University Campus. 
 
During the visit of Vice Chancellor Dr. Amanpreet Singh, Controller of Examination explained the initiatives. He briefed that It was the vision of University mentors like Chairman Board of Governors, Vice Chancellor that the system of Examination department should be more transparent between students and the faculty. This time University established 107 no. of Examination Centers throughout the state and 1.5 lakh students are appearing in these examinations. University ordered its all affiliated colleges to install CCTV cameras with resolution of 2 megapixels along with audio mic with at least 2 stage pre-amplifier specifications. Further University team inspected all the colleges and ensure the same. 
 
Examination Department conducted a special workshop in which all Centre Superidentent and Printing Cell Co-Ordinators were present. The motive of this workshop was to train the staff of examination centres and to update the examination Center staff about the new initiatives taken by the University.
 
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma said that Technological advancement is on top priority of University. He said that transparency in work will always boost up the morale of all stakeholders and it will create a satisfactory atmosphere.  Prof. (Dr.) Sharma said that at global level only those institutions can establish its image and compete the world level requirements, which will work through technological revolutions. He congratulated the team members of examination who performed well towards Technology revolution at University. He said it is a matter of proud that University is performing step ahead exercises in its examination department.
