Science is the basis of any country’s progress; it is not necessary that science is the responsibility of a particular scientific community, Every common man can also create an interest in Innovation and Connect himself with science & Technology. Anyone can contribute in the development of Nation through science. These inspirational words are delivered by District Education Officer M S Sidhu. He was addressing one day science fair as Chief Guest held at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University.

This science fair was jointly organized by University’s Physics, Chemistry and Mathematical Departments. The theme of this fair was ‘People for Science and Science for People’. The aim of this science fair was to keep the importance of science and to strengthen its utilization. Its aim was to develop scientific understanding in the students.

On this occasion Dr. Rohit Mehra from Dr. B R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT Jalandhar) and Dr. V.K. Garg from Central University Bathinda was the keynote speakers. They talked about the energy-rich nation & provided information to students on the importance of nuclear energy and its widespread utilization. 

They emphasized on ensuring sustainable development through the saving of science. These two subject experts created questionable dialogue with the students. Poster Making, Quiz and Model Exhibition were also organized on this occasion. At this science fair, students from affiliated institute i.e CEC Landran & DAVIET Jalandhar also took part.
