Jalandhar/Kapurthala/Chandigarh The students of Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Kapurthala, Government Senior Secondary School, Kartarpur, Government Senior Secondary School, Maqsudan (Jalandhar), Government Senior Secondary School, Phillaur declared as “Schools of Eminence” by Government of Punjab visited I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Jalandhar-Kapurthala campus on May 19, 2023. The secondary classes students explored here the opportunities in Technical Education. They also look at the facilities, infrastructure, campus life, hostels etc. They met with faculty of each department at length and expressed the desire to take admission in a university of repute like IKGPTU.
In the command of University Registrar Dr.S.K.Misra, the teams of various academic & non-academic departments, welcomed students. The students accompanied by their faculty members understood the admission process, visited the admission cell and also attended a talk on various courses being offered in the University and their eligibility criteria. The Dean Academics, Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Chawla facilitated the visit and said this is the beginning of many such student-oriented events and visits on the Campus. He said the pre-registration to various courses at IKGPTU Main Campus and Constituent Campuses is open and there is a huge demand for admission this year. IKGPTU has Departments and Faculties on campus and is flourishing strength by strength in recent years. The University has set a benchmark of high-quality education in and around the catchment area and students from many states including North East, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana etc are studying on campus.
