Parameter for Placement is not only knowledge, personality is much important: Placement experts

  • An Alumni Expert Talks on Placement was held at IKGPTU Amritsar Campus
  • Sri Amritsar Sahib : At the time of placement, it is not enough just to have a lot of knowledge, it is also very much important to be presentable. Your body language, dressing sense, sharp mind and positive thinking for the future are also important factors for selection during placement. Apart from this it is clear that your company always expects you to be honest, lead yourself professionally and be punctual for work. Students were given these placement tips at I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Amritsar Campus located at chehata road. An Alumni Interaction Program was organized for the students, in which two alumni of Amritsar Campus were invited as subject experts. The names of experts were Resham Thakur & Gaurav Dadwal. Both of them have passed out from the Amritsar campus of the university and are currently holding top positions in a private company based in Mohali.

    Dr. Amit Sareen, Director, Amritsar Campus shared that the aim is to keep all the students of this campus ready for placement, so that as the big companies knock here, their campus placement can be reached at 100%. He said that the students keep a very close relationship with their seniors, are under their influence, so they keep on calling such experienced senior students for counseling and training of the existing students. On this occasion both the alumni shared their journey and experiences from college to the corporate world.

    This session was kept for the students of B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering course of IKGPTU Amritsar Campus. Both experts gave many invaluable tips on how to prepare for the interview, how to meet the company’s expectations. Both said that sharing experiences with students always inspires them to do more for future generations. They delivered a vote of thanks for the campus director for calling them for expert talk.

    In the end the another vote of thanks from campus side to experts was read by Dr. Vipul Sharma, Assistant Professor, Computer Science & Engineering.
