Under the aegis of Ministry of Youth and Sports, Govt. of India, Meri Mati Mera Desh program was organized by the NSS Wing of IKGPTU at its main campus, Kapurthala on Independence Day i.e. on 15th August, 2023. The program was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Susheel Mittal. Dr. S.K. Mishra, Registrar, IKGPTU, Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Gaurav Bhargava, Dean Research, Innovation & Consultancy, Dr. Hitesh Sharma, Finance Officer, Dr. S.S. Walia also joined the event. On the occasion, a plantation drive was organized and a vatika of indigenous plants was established at the campus. More than
300 NSS Volunteers participated in the event. A cultural program was also organized
