IKGPTU signed MoU with Yorkville University Canada

  • Both the institutes will work together on academic edge
  • BBA course students will get most of the benefits
  • Jalandhar/Kapurthala: I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) and Yorkville University New Brunswick, Canada have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for academic advancement. After this agreement, the students of both the educational institutions, especially the BBA students will be able to move to each other’s institute for academic partnership. This agreement has been signed by the Vice Chancellor IKGPTU and from the Yorkville University side signed by the Executive Director.

    Prof. (Dr.) Yadvinder Singh, Dean Planning and External Program (P&EP) of IKGPTU shared that both the institutions will remain committed to each other to provide high quality academic programs which complement the academic and professional goals of their students. “We will work together to move forward to provide maximum global opportunities to our students.” Said Dean Prof. Brar. He shared that various educational programs would be offered from both sides, in which necessary steps would be taken while fulfilling all the relevant jurisdictional laws.

    Prof. Dr. Brar also said that Yorkville University will share the best international standard syllabus related to its BBA course for the students of IKGPTU BBA course. In future, after getting a partial BBA Degree from IKGPTU, students will be able to complete the rest of their studies in Canada too. In addition, students from both sides will be admitted to the BBA program at Yorkville University as well as IKGPTU based on their qualifications and credits will also be transferred from both sides.

    University Vice Chancellor and Principal Secretary Technical Education and Industrial Training Department, Senior IAS Officer Raj Kamal Chaudhari congratulated the P&EP Department for this initiative. He instructed the P&EP Department to provide better opportunities to the students of the University at the global level by approaching more international institutions. Registrar IAS officer Jaspreet Singh has also congratulated the university team.

    On this occasion Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Chawla, Dean Dr. RPS Bedi, Controller Examinations Dr. Paramjit Singh, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia, Deputy Dean Dr. Harmeen Soch, Director Dr. Balkar Singh, Director P&EP Dr. Ekonkar Singh Johal, Er. HP Singh were present.
