 I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Jalandhar, Kapurthala signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Kingdom (UK) based renowned educational brand Middlesex University in Dubai. Middlesex University recently analyzed IKGPTU’s academic strength and Invites University in Dubai to sign over MoU. The aim of this MoU is to explore opportunities for collaboration in the area of research & academia. MoU will also provide a framework within of which the both Universities will seek to develop a long term collaborative relationship. 

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor IKGPTU said that the both Universities will work on the opportunities for potential collaboration in the area of development of joint research projects, short term summer courses, exchange of teaching & learning support, acknowledgement of quality standards of academic programmes, field trips for IKGPTU to visit Middlesex University, exploration of progression routes from courses of IKGPTU to courses leading to awards from Middlesex University and train the trainers programmes. Vice Chancellor shared copy of MoU and drafted literature of aims of MoU with IKGPTU academic team and suggests them to start of initial work. He said that the global approach over educational activities is the need of the hour. He also motivated to University faculty for best ideation to explore the benefits of this MoU. 

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sharma signed MoU as 2nd party and on behalf of Middlesex University Dubai Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes singed over MoU as 1st party. The MoU was signed on January 29, 2019 in Dubai.
