IKGPTU signed academic MoU with University of South Carolina

  • Dual degree program, students & faculty exchange programs will be supported
  • Jalandhar/Kapurthala: I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) has taken another initiative to fulfil the foreign education dreams of Indian students at less cost but at high end institutions. The University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of South Carolina (Beaufort) as part of its Foreign Education Agreement Policy. Under this MoU, students will get two plus two, three plus three schemes in various graduate and post graduate courses of the both universities. It is an Opportunity to do a dual degree on the lines of a fifty-fifty period duration programme for example four year course students will be able to study the first two years in India and the second two years at the University of South Carolina. Similarly, those doing three years, two years degree will also get the facility. With this, where students will get an opportunity to take study opportunities in two countries, they will also get a foreign degree at less expense.

    Handing over the copy of this agreement to the Vice Chancellor cum Principal Secretary Technical Education, Sh. Rahul Bhandari, IAS, Dean Planning and External Planning Prof (Dr.) Yadwinder Singh Brar said that at present, we have tie-ups with major educational institutions in almost all countries, where Indian students can study well in a better environment with better facilities at less cost. During this, Vice Chancellor IAS Rahul Bhandari and Registrar Dr. S.K. Mishra congratulated the P&EP department.
