IKGPTU organized Google Developer Fest at Main Campus

The Google DevFest Jalandhar was organized at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Main Campus. It was co-ventured by GDG Jalandhar, GDSC IKGPTU, and Bizarre Coders along with other GDSC around Punjab. The event was held at University’s Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium and Seminar Hall parallel. Dr. Gaurav Bhargav (Dean student welfare) graced the occasion as chief guest and Dr. Anshu Bhasin, Dr. Dinesh Gupta were the faculty coordinators for the event. Over 700+ students and volunteers attended the event. This event’s objective was to give the insights of google’s technologies and help young developers to interact with experts from the industry. Vice Chancellor Dr Susheel Mittal & Registrar Dr S K Misra congratulated the organizing team for this fest.
This Fest was based on the latest technologies in web and mobile platforms. Cloud Technology was covered by Sumit Kumar (Cloud Solution Architect, at Orange Business), followed by Rivu Chakraborty (GDE , Android Architect at Viacom 18 media). on Creating SDK in Kotlin Multiplatform. After which, Introduction to Gen Ai by given by Biswanath Giri (GCP principal Architect, at LTIMindtree)and GDG Jalandhar organiser gave a talk on the “What to use and why to use” and this was followed by a fast-growing JS Framework “Angular” by “Pranav Kumar (Senior Engineer, at nagarro). In the end Abhishek Doshi (Google Developer Expert) gave a talk on “Make your apps safe with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics” all on Web Tracks.

On the Mobile Track, Streamlining asset management in Flutter by Akansha Jain (Women Techmakers Ambassador) and And Deep dive into Targeting Android 14 by “Loveleen Kaur (Senior Software Engineer at Astro Talk).

GDG Jalandhar appreciated all the speakers and the IKGPTU volunteers for their valuable effort that made that event successful. Overall this event was very useful for professionals as well as students as they got to know about the happenings in the tech world.
