IKGPTU & Kapurthala District Police organized Traffic Rules Awareness Seminar
Jalandhar/Kapurthala Increasing the number of road accidents have become a problem not only for our country but for the whole world. One person’s negligence in traffic rules can harm many lives. The issue of traffic awareness is now very serious for road safety. It is the need of the hour that we become responsible, follow the traffic rules ourselves and explain the seriousness to others too. These inspiring words were delivered by PPS Officer Maninderpal Singh. He is posted as DSP in District Kapurthala Police. DSP Maninderpal Singh was addressing the traffic rules awareness seminar organized at I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (I.K.G.P.T.U.) on Friday.

A one-day traffic rules awareness seminar was organized for the students in the main campus of the University by the Management Department of the University and District Kapurthala Police. Lady SHO Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur, Police Station Sadar addressed the seminar as the keynote speaker. SHO Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur shared with the students to be serious about following the traffic rules while taking the increasing road accidents seriously. He said that the more traffic rules are followed, the less road accidents will happen and the life will be safe.

The second speaker ASI Gurbachan Singh Bangar informed the students about the traffic rules, traffic signals and other traffic signs and made them aware of the current law and facts of accidents. He said that road accidents everywhere in the country and abroad are the headlines of newspapers today, which happen only due to carelessness. He appealed to the youth that whether they live abroad or in the country, they must follow the traffic rules so that road accidents can stop.

Deputy Registrar Public Relations Rajneesh Sharma read the message of University Registrar Dr. S.K Misra in the seminar. Welcome speech was given by Dr. Rajpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor Management. Vote of thanks was read by Assistant Professor Dr. Kapil Gupta. University faculty members Dr. Pooja Mehta, Dr. Rupali Batra, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Dr. Sarabjit Singh and others were present on this occasion.
