 It is a fact from centuries that a person with solid presence & bold character is fit for journalism & mass media. Till decades back, it was also popular that journalistic skills cannot be inculcated, its God gifted. But Now Educational Institutes of Media Studies are breaking the ice & empowering students with journalistic skills successfully and Media Fests are playing super role in it. 
These words are delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University. He was inaugurating Inter varsity cum inter institutional Media Fest at University’s main campus on Wednesday. This fest was organized by University’s Department of Journalism & Mass Communication.  
In his speech, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sharma said that Campus media fests are changing personality of students according to their field requirements. Here the students meet the opportunities to interact with professionals & show their talent. During the event, VC Prof. Sharma also gave green signal to Journalism Department of University to establish a new Ultra-Modern Audio-Video Studio at main campus for the practical work of mass communication students within current academic session. He also approved proposal to establish campus FM (Community Radio) & Community TV Channel soon. Before this, the event was formally inaugurated with lighting the lamp by Vice Chancellor Prof. Ajay K. Sharma, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Yadwinder Singh Brar & HOD JMC Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh. “Ma Saraswati vandana” was also performed by University students.
