In the early era of Technical Education, it was a fact that Engineering Colleges were on demand but present scenario is totally opposite. Now, Students are on demand so only quality performers can achieve their admission targets. It is advisable to institutions to adopt new trends of admissions with a fair and quality vision. These words are of Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University. He was addressing a Brain Storming Session held at University’s main campus with affiliated Colleges’ authorities. The agenda of this session was to start work for quality admissions in upcoming session 2019-20. In this session around 100 Chairman/Directors/Principals of affiliated colleges were present.
 
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sharma said that University is always ready to work jointly to improve admissions. He also shared statistics of last admission year’s contribution including financial expenditure and other administrative decisions. Vice Chancellor got feedback from invited Chairman/Directors/Principals. On behalf of that, University’s Director Academics Dr. Balkar Singh shared last year admission statistics with the house and also raised a point related to Mandatory requirements to be ensured by the colleges for students, so that students may perform in next academic session as brand ambassadors.
 
During this session an Expert lecture with subject to "Academic Leadership through Universal Human Values (UHV)” was also delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Sangal, Chairman, National Coordination Committee for Student Induction Program, AICTE New Delhi. He is a renowned personality in Technical Education, who is working on subject Universal Human Values (UHV) from the last many years. Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Sangal said that Colleges should start working to improve the behavioral change of students. He said that young minds have the power to create or develop anything for society, but due to lack of our responsibility, maximum institutions fail to understand their positive possibility. They can be admission generators but first we should take the responsibility to shape up their moral character as responsible citizen, responsible Indian and above that responsible towards his or her society.
 
The session was ended with question-answer hour. On this occasion Dr. Sukhbir Singh Ahluwalia, Officiating Registrar IKG PTU, Deputy Registrar College Development Dr Ekonkar Singh Johal, Deputy Registrar Rajinder Dogra were also present.
