Teachers’ Day celebrated at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University
"We are learners at every stage, and one who teaches us to live positively, is real teacher"
At every stage, we are students, learners and one who teaches us to live positively, is real teacher. These words are delivered by Dr. Anirudh Pratap Singh, Dean, RIC of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, while addressing the function of "Teachers-Day" organized at the University’s main campus. Dean Dr Singh motivated to students to go ahead with their goals!
Second Teacher’s Day speech was given by Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia, Registrar, IKGPTU. During which he also read Vice Chancellor Dr. (Prof.) Ajay Kumar Sharma’s message on Teachers day among the students. Coordinator of the event Dr.R.P.S Bedi, Joint Registrar, welcomed to all and shared his views about the relationship of the "Guru-Shishy".
The origins of the Cultural Program took place after singing, while Poetry was sung by Student Shukla. A Group Dance performed by the student of engineering department. A Student, namely Shilpa Jassal presented traditional item. Arshadeep and Group played a play, Namya-Shivani, Pooja performed a group dance and student Saras presented Solo Song.
The Mush awaited item Jhummer & Giddha were performed by Abhijit Group and Shilpa’s Team respectively. At the end of the ceremony, few fun games were organized by the students for faculty members and university staff.
