Industrial Practical Training Open at IKGPTU’s Industrial Center CIIIT
Jalandhar/Kapurthala : I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) opens industrial practical training for it’s various stream engineering students. University’s practical Industrial Training Center (CIIIT-Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training) is going to start next level practical Training for engineering students from 18th July. This training program will be of total 04 weeks, in which students of Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering can participate. Few seats are also available for BCA students. CIIIT is an exclusive training center of IKGPTU, in which industry-based training is conducted from time to time for the university students. This center is run by the University in association with the world famous brand Tata Technologies. This centre receives hundreds of student’s positive responses for training every year. The students are trained by subject experts of Tata Technologies only. This time applications are open for students of the main campus, other campuses (Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali) and affiliated colleges because of limited seats.
University Registrar Dr. S.K Mishra said that this practical training is an opportunity for engineering students. The CIIIT has world class facilities. This training center is a highly recognized center in northern India. Dr. Jujhar Singh, the Center Coordinator, shared that in the 4-week industrial training program, the students were trained to do practical work in the industrial environment by the professional subject experts of Tata Technologies. During training, the complete work on machine opening, usage, software, hardware functions etc will be offered to students. The machinery & equipment available at CIIIT is completely industry based equipment. These equipment are bridging the gap between the theoretical and practical knowledge of the students. The Training in CIIIT is done on the basis of application and merit on very less fee. He shared that the applications are open till July 15, in which students of affiliated colleges can also participate by applying online.
