World Wetlands Day: 1-2 Feb 2022

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University organised a webinar to generate awareness about the importance as well as functions and values of Wetland Day. About 358 participants including Students, Teachers, Researchers and members of the Civil Society representing 13 Teaching & Research Institutions along with NGOs participated in the webinar organised on 2nd Feb 2022. Dr Chander Parkash, a Wetland Scientist from the Department of Chemical Sciences, delivered a presentation on this year’s theme and apprised the students and volunteers about the status of Wetlands in Punjab and at the National Level.
