Traffic Rules: A responsibility of protecting yourself and others

  • District Kapurthala Traffic Police has conducted traffic rules observance awareness seminar at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University
  • Department of Management organized the event

 

It is not only our duty to follow traffic rules, but it is also our moral responsibility to save our own and others’ precious lives by obeying traffic rules. Participation in the rules awareness campaign is the moral responsibility of all too. These are the words delivered by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kapurthala Sandeep Singh Mand. He was Chief Guest in an event of awareness about Traffic Rules, held at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University main campus. The event was organized by Management department of University. The theme of seminar was "Follow Traffic rules for safety on road".

On this occasion, students, faculty, staff and other employees were asked to follow traffic rules. To make audience aware of the new law of Traffic rules was also part of this event. Chief Guest also shared facts about their responsibility on road and he makes session interactive by giving them various practical quotes.

Meanwhile, the team members of the session were also shared information about the importance of documents like driving license, vehicle registration etc. ASI Gurbachan Singh, Balwinder Singh of Traffic Police Kapurthala also explained the laws related to violation of the traffic rules. The event was also a part of University’s social responsibility. The seminar was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Yadwinder Singh Brar, Head University Main Campus, Program Coordinator Dr. Rajpreet Kaur, Deputy Librarian Madhu Midda, Assistant Registrar Sandeep Mehmi, Assistant Professor Supriya Bahl, Dr. Sanjeev Bansal and others.
