To donate blood you need neither extra strength nor extra food, and we can save a life. It’s a great joy to save a soul. These motivational words are delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University. Prof. Sharma was addressing to Campus students, NSS Volunteers, Faculty & staff members during a Blood Donation Camp held at University’s main campus on Jan.17, 2019. This camp was organized by IKGPTU NSS Unit. University dedicated this noble cause to 550th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sharma motivated students about the transfusion of blood, which is saving many of life in this world every year. Camp was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor.
Total 50 Units of blood donated in this camp. On this occasion University staff, Faculty; Students, even visitors donated their blood towards saving life. University Registrar (Dr.) Sukhbir Singh Ahluwalia, Students Facilitation Centre In charge Joint Registrar Dr RPS Bedi, NSS unit officer in charge Paramjit Gill, Coordinator Sanjeev Sharma participated in camp and give their best wishes towards more efforts to organize maximum blood donation camps. It is worth mentioning that it was the second blood donation camp organized by IKGPTU within one month.
