Time To Get Accredited, IKG PTU Started Awareness Campaign
• University divided its Colleges in to five clusters for NBA/NAAC awareness workshops

To set benchmarks in quality technical Education, I K Gujral Punjab Technical University starts motivational cum awareness workshops in its affiliated colleges/institutions with a theme that It’s Time to get accredited. University has taken steps by starting awareness campaign to get accreditation from The NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (NAAC) and The National Board of Accreditation (NBA). This initiative has been taken by the academic department of University in the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma.
It is worth mentioning that The NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. On the same way another body, NBA, was initially established by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) for evaluations of technical institutions & programs basis according to specified norms and standards as recommended by AICTE council. The NBA is with the objective of Assurance of Quality and Relevance of Education, especially of the programs in professional and technical disciplines, i.e., Engineering and Technology, Management, Architecture, Pharmacy and Hospitality, through the mechanism of accreditation of programs.
To fulfill the Task University divided its all affiliated colleges district wise into five clusters. University organized five workshops at various locations like Jalandhar, Kapurthala, SBS Nagar, Amritsar etc. During the check of status of these workshops, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma said that the accreditation is need of the hour and it will surely improve the brand value of Technical Institutions of Punjab. He Congratulate the team members of Academic Department to run workshops successfully.
