Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Bansal, hon’ble Vice Chancellor launched the Alumni Portal and Placement Portal of IKG PTU. Both the portals have been developed by B. Tech CSE Final Year students (Raushan Jha, Rajan Patel, Nitesh Kumar) under the guidance of Corporate Relations & Alumni office and regular support of ITS section during testing phase of both the portal.

The development of its App for Android & iOS are under process. However, WebApp of both the portals are already working. Student will get updates though notification via WebApp. It is pertinent to mention that Placement portal was initially developed by Mr. Birender Pandit, B.Tech CSE 2026 passed out student. Later on, further updates have been done by above mentioned students.

Further, a placement brochure has also been launched by hon’ble VC sir. During the launch ceremony, Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu, Registrar, Dr. Satvir Singh, Dean (Student Welfare) and Mr. Mohit Jain, AR (CR&A) were present.

1. A dedicated placement portal has been developed by Office of Corporate Relations & Alumni. https://placements.ptu.ac.in/

There are several benefits of this portal.

· Student will get register themselves at the portal for the placement drives with just a click button.

· Dashboard for each students regarding placement drives.

· Students will get notification from time to time at their login page & email ID ,as & when there will be any placement Drive etc.

· Students may upload their projects their resume & academic details etc at portal.

· Company HR may view their resume, projects and may shortlist them through their login credentials at portal.

2. A dedicated Alumni portal has been developed by Office of Corporate Relations & Alumni. https://alumni.ptu.ac.in/

This portal provides the following facilities like Alumni Directory & Search Instant, Interactive Geolocation Map, Rich Professional Profiles, Rich Professional Profiles, Alumni Start-up Ecosystem, Community Hubs & Forums Campus, Real-Time Notification Bell, Multi-Channel Outreach, Event Management & Reminders, Photo Albums & Media Spotlight, Support Ticket Desk, Digital Recognition & Verification

A brief of Alumni portal is as below:

· Alumni Directory & Search Instant, multi-filter search across every alumni record — batch year, branch, degree course, employer, job title, and city — built for campuses with thousands of graduates.

· Interactive Geolocation Map- A real-time alumni map with privacy-aware visibility controls (public, alumni-only, hidden).

· Rich Professional Profiles- Dual career timelines for education and work experience, LinkedIn sync, bios, avatars, and automatic location geocoding from pincode. Connections & Following A peer-to-peer connection request engine alongside

· Alumni Start-up Ecosystem- A dedicated showcase for alumni-founded ventures — company profiles, logos, industries, and links — to spark university-backed mentorship and investment.

· Community Hubs & Forums Campus-scoped hubs where coordinators and alumni leaders post announcements.

· Real-Time Notification Bell, – A modern notification centre with live polling, infinite scroll, and optimistic read-states — the same feel as LinkedIn or Twitter, built for alumni engagement.

· Multi-Channel Outreach A targeted campaign engine dispatching web push notifications and in-app alerts by campus, batch, or registration status
