International women’s day was celebrated at IKGPTU with full enthusiasm. The Special guests were Dr. Kavita Vij, Dr. Raj Sharma and Dr. Rajbir Kaur. Program in charge and Deputy Controller Finance Dr. Nitya Sharma welcomed them. She talked about the importance of the day and women empowerment.

Special guest Dr. Rajbir Kaur said that women should take care of their health always. Social activist and principal unique public school Dr. Kavita Vij said that all women are empowered. Without women existence of world is not possible. She talked about the importance of women in every relationship. Talking about her school, she said that determination is very important for doing anything. In unique public school, we are not only educating the children but making them skilled as well so that they should not be demanding anything from others.
Deputy registrar HR Dr. Geet encouraged the women to face every tough situation with full courage. A video film chosen by IAS Bhawna Garg was also shown on this occasion. Deputy Librarian Mrs. Madhu midha, HoD management Dept Dr. Harmeen Soch and other officers honoured the guests. Tree plantation was also done in the University.
