IKGPTU Registrar holds Open House Meet with Hostel students
Jalandhar/Kapurthala : I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) has started an open house meeting hour with students, especially with Hostel students. The aim of this open house meet is to get feedback on University initiatives, establish direct contact & exploration on new ideas. The first program with the aim of “Open House for Betterment” with the students by the top officials of the University was prepared by Dr. SK Mishra, Registrar of the University. This effort is being done on the directions of the Vice Chancellor, Mr. Rahul Bhandari, Sr. IAS.
The students of five hostels (both boys and girls) were invited by the university in the first open house meeting. Students shared their views on academic excellence, digital facilities, and initiatives in university hostels. They also shared about new approaches for training and placements, and initiatives to increase direct access of necessary requirements.
Addressing the students, Registrar, Dr. S.K. Mishra said that the top management of the University aims to provide quality education to its students as well as better environment in every way in the University. In this continuing effort, this first open house, an initiative was planned for the welfare of the students along with solving or suggesting solutions to the problems of the students on the spot.
Registrar Dr. Mishra clarified that the University is only for the students, it is with the students, so the first aim of the official is the satisfaction of the students in every aspect. He inspired the students to be pioneers and also asked them to come forward to do some innovative work at their hostels. Both boys and girls of the hostel were present on this occasion.
