Herbal Medicine Garden Inaugurated at IKG PTU

  • University Horticulture team planted 35 herbal medicine plants including Tulasi, Spearmint, Carom, Giloy, Aloe Vera,Curry Leaves,Khus,Ashwagandha, Sage, Fenugreek.
  • Jalandhar / Kapurthala : I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Herbal Garden has been inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Rahul Bhandari, Sr. IAS. In this herbal medicine garden the horticultural branch of the university planted about 35 kinds of herbal plants. These include Tulasi, Spearmint, Carom, Giloy, Aloe Vera, Curry Leaves,Khus, Ashwagandha, Sage, Fenugreek, Ratanjot, Brahmi, Bel Patra, Ashwagandha, Dal-Chini, Stevia, Long, Niyazbo, Hing, Vasaka, Gudehal, Tamarind, Mahua, Satavari, Pathar Chatt, Behr etc.

    Vice Chancellor Rahul Bhandari said that this herbal medican garden at the university campus would help students, teachers and employees to lead disease free life in future. He said that it would make the surroundings of Herbal Garden University disease free. On this occasion the Vice Chancellor along with the Registrar Dr. SK Mishra congratulated the Horticulture Branch of the University for this excellent work. University Xian Er. H.P. Singh, Deputy Registrar Public Relations Rajneesh Sharma, Horticulture Branch Incharge Rakesh Sood and others were present on the occasion.
