IKGPTU participated in state level launch of DAPO Program

  I K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurhala participated in state level launch of Drug Abuse Prevention Officer (DAPO) Program. An oath taking ceremony was organized. With the initiative of Honorable Chief Minister Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, a stated level program was launched at village of Martyr Bhagat Singh. As a part of this initiative, I K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurhala also participated.

Vivek Talwar, Assistant Registrar, Student Welfare, welcomed Dr. N P Singh, Dean P&EP, Dr. S S Ahluwalia, Director, Student Welfare and other faculties and students.

The oath taking ceremony was organized in the seminar hall. Honorable Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh was leading the oath taking ceremony. The online telecast of this event was on IndiaNewsPunjab. All Officers, Faculty members and students followed him.

Dr. N P Singh, Dean P&EP expressed the serious concern of drug addiction among the students and motivated them to be away from such practices.

Dr. S S Ahluwalia shared about the importance of DAPO. There is a strong need of prevention & awareness of drug addiction in Punjab. Every individual will have to take initiative regarding the awareness of drug addiction. He encouraged participants to enroll themselves for DAPO program.

In the last Dr. S S Ahluwalia gave thanks to Dr. N P Singh, Dean P&EP, staff of Student Welfare, faculties and students. Vinay Kehar, Incharge NSS was coordinating the program with the help of Mohit Kumar Jain, Sanjeev Sharma & Devinder Singh staff members of Students welfare department of University.
