IKGPTU organized 5 days Entrepreneurship week “INCUBO” at Main Campus
Hundreds of students of affiliated colleges & University campuses participated in the event
Jalandhar/Kapurthala To showcasing a celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation & to promote the entrepreneurial ideas of the students, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) organized its annual event INCUBO from February 12th to February 16th, 2024 at its main campus Kapurthala. The event drew together students, faculty, industry leaders, and innovators to explore, collaborate, and inspire. During the event various contests and competitions including Reel Feel, Fish Tank, Hitch-n-Hunt, and Idea Pitching were organised to instill the spirit of startup in students. Students from various affiliated colleges of IKGPTU also participated in the event INCUBO.
The event was organized in the mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor IKGPTU. VC Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal congratulated the organising team and said that the University is committed to support students in their entrepreneurship journey. He further said that It’s inspiring to see University students, faculty, and industry partners come together to celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation.
Inaugurating the program Dr. S.K. Misra, Registrar, IKGPTU said that The INCUBO event will serve as a platform for networking, collaboration, and learning, fostering a culture of innovation within the university and beyond. IKGPTU looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to support and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among its students and faculty.
The INCUBO event featured insightful keynote speeches from esteemed speakers, including Renowned motivational speaker Paritosh Anand and Entrepreneur and visionary female speaker Mandeep Kaur Tangra. Paritosh Anand encouraged attendees to seize the moment and pursue their dreams passionately, while Mandeep Kaur Tangra shared her inspiring journey of founding an IT company in her village, providing white-collar job opportunities to local residents and urging others to embark on similar paths of social impact. Through personal anecdotes and practical advice, Paritosh emphasized the importance of passion, resilience, and self-belief in overcoming obstacles and achieving personal and professional fulfillment. Anand’s message resonated deeply with attendees, igniting a renewed sense of purpose and drive among the audience. His visit exemplified IKGPTU’s commitment to providing students with opportunities for personal and professional growth, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of hearing him speak.
Ms. Mandeep Kaur Tangra shared her inspiring journey at IKGPTU’s INCUBO event on February 16, 2024. Tangra recounted her experience of founding an IT company in her village, providing white-collar job opportunities to local residents and catalyzing social change. Her compelling narrative highlighted the transformative power of entrepreneurship and innovation in addressing societal challenges. Her story inspired attendees to think creatively, take risks, and pursue ventures that create meaningful impact. Her visit underscored IKGPTU’s commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students, encouraging them to explore innovative solutions and make a positive difference in the world. Tangra Mam’s insights left a profound impression, empowering individuals to harness their potential and shape a brighter future.
In addition to the enlightening keynote addresses, the INCUBO event showcased a diverse array of stalls and educational booths. Notable participants included Xero Degrees, Sona Juice Bar, Chai Vaai Cafe, Khalsa Bakery, along with stalls representing the innovative ventures of university students. Educational booths from Lally Infosys and IDP provided valuable insights into career development and educational opportunities.
