IKGPTU Assistant Professor Dr. Shashi Behl featured in top 2% scientists in the world

Dr. Behl is working in University’s mechanical engineering department. His name is part of the coveted global list prepared by Stanford University USA for year 2020. The list is prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John Ioannidis, the eminent Professor at world-renowned Stanford University and published by Elsevier BV.

    It is worth mentioning that a total number of 3352 researchers from India have featured in this list that represents the valuable impact of the country on the global research platform. Two separate lists were released by Stanford University. The first coveted list is based on career long data. Dr. Shashi Bahl has been listed in the second list of top 2% scientists in the world for the year 2020 performance. The publicly available database of over 100,000 top scientists provides standardized information on citations, h-index and citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub- fields.

    On this achievement of the Assistant Professor of the University, Vice Chancellor Senior IAS Officer Ramesh Kumar Ganta congratulated him. He also conveyed the message to the other faculty members of the university that in addition to providing better education to the students, they should also participate in such world class opportunities; work on better research of their respective subjects.
