IKGPTU called 55th Academic Council Meeting
02 Statutory, 04 Informational, 09 rectifying and 01 agenda for discussion was presented to the Council
The 55th academic council meeting of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) was called on Monday. The Academic Council meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Susheel Mittal as the Council Chairman. A total of 16 agenda items were presented by the University Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra as the Member Secretary of the Council. Dean Academic Prof (Dr.) Vikas Chawla brought forward the proceedings of the Academic Council bringing discussion and brainstorming. Principals of different colleges participated as members in the council meeting.
02 statutory, 04 informational, 09 amendments and one agenda item for defibrations were presented in the meeting. The council mainly discussed the separation of admissions from centralized counseling at the university campus and its affiliated campuses for the admission session 2024-25. De-linking of admission process of IKGPTU Main Campus and Constituent Campuses of IKGPTU from Centralized Online Counselling from Session 2024-25 onwards is a step ahead to facilitate the aspirants of in time admissions. Apart from this, information was also shared about the university’s PhD award.
