IKG PTU will establish Innovation Clubs-Entrepreneurship Cells

 To promote innovation and create high awareness I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University will establish Innovation Clubs in its main campus. The students and faculty members will work closely in these clubs so that innovative ideas can exchange to touch the height of innovation. These club members will also inspire other campus students to start their journey as job developers, not as job seekers. University will allocate a special fund for the same. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ajay K. Sharma floats this initiative announcement during the inauguration session of Entrepreneurship Week at University’s Main campus.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sharma said that society is in changing scenario and today’s efforts are not only to study for the jobs. These days our priorities are to deliver entrepreneurs. He inspired students to set examples for the coming generations, pass on best messages to the new students for the academic year 2018-19. Prof. (Dr.) Sharma shared examples related to the invention of tube light and its future development. He inspired students to think positive and deeply about any of surrounding thing which is related to science and innovation.
Before this, inauguration session was addressed by University’s Dean RIC Dr. Anirudh Pratap Singh. He said that Faculty and students have to work together for the entrepreneurship development so that name of this state, especially district Kapurthala may famous as Silicon Valley. He correlates his examples with the importance of entrepreneurship. Dr. Singh said that it is a matter of pride that IKG PTU is empanelled under Prime Ministrer YUVA Yojana. This event was also addressed by prominent researcher cum Talk Expert Er. Jagmohan Singh. His speech was about the innovative world and its generational inventions.
On this occasion, Deputy Dean cum HOD Food Sciences Dr. Rajneesh Kant Sachdev, Deputy Placement officer Er Navdeepak Sandhu, Assistant Placement Officer Er. Mrigender Bedi, Assistant Professor Gazal Sharma & Others were also present.
