Dr. Vipul Sharma is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Amritsar Campus, with over 16 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Panjab University, with research focused on medical image retrieval and artificial intelligence. His research interests include Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, and Healthcare Informatics, with publications in reputed SCI/SCIE/ESCI and Scopus-indexed journals. He has received several prestigious awards, including the TEQIP-II Fellowship, UIET Research Award-2015, and Young Researcher Award-2021. Dr. Sharma has delivered numerous expert lectures, organized AICTE-ATAL FDPs and technical workshops, and actively contributes to AI-driven research, curriculum development, and emerging technologies.
