Eligibility Criteria of AICTE Courses (as notified in Session 2022-23)

All those candidates who have passed 10+2 examination from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship as per table 1.3 (a) of AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2022-23.

Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering)

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

OR

Those candidates who have passed minimum 03 years Diploma examination from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with atleast 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

(The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to prepare Level playing field and desired learning outcomes of the programme)

OR

The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.

All those candidates who have passed Minimum THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution / Recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology shall be eligible to apply.

OR

All those candidates who have Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 standard with Mathematics as a subject shall be eligible to apply.

OR

Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.

(The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the programme).

Refer table 1.10 of Appendix-1 of AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2022-23.

All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by Central/ State Government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi shall eligible to apply. Further as per AICTE guidelines, candidate should have obtained atleast 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination shall be eligible to apply for admission to degree level Hotel Management & Catering Technology Course.

All those candidates who have passed bachelors degree of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in any disciplines from the University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) shall be eligible to apply for MBA course.

All those candidates who have Passed B.C.A / B.Sc. (Computer Science) / B.Sc. (IT) / B.E. (CSE) / B.Tech. (CSE) / B.E. (IT) / B.Tech. (IT) or equivalent Degree.

OR

Passed any graduation degree (e.g.: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.A. / B. Voc. / etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level

from the University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and also Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination shall be eligible to apply for admission to MCA Course.

(for students having no Mathematics background compulsory bridge course will be framed by the respective University/ Institution and additional bridge courses related to computer subjects as per the norms of the concerned University)

All those candidates who have passed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in the relevant filed. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination shall be eligible to apply for Post graduate level M.Tech. course.

Having passed Matriculation examination AND have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

Passing of 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

Diploma in Anesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology with minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Passing of 10+2 examination with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and either Mathematics or Biology from recognized Board / University / Council or 10+2 with vocational course in Medical Laboratory Science / Medical Laboratory Technology with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Passing of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or Pharmacy from recognized Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Two Year Diploma in Laboratory Assistant/ Medical laboratory Technology from J&K Para Medical & Nursing Council or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Passing of 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

OR

Having passed Matriculation examination AND have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

Passing of 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with atleast 50% Marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate from any Board recognized or established by Central / State Government through a legislation.

Passing of 10+2 examination with 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) with Physics & Chemistry & Biology from recognized Board / University.

Passing of 3 years Diploma (after Matric) or 2 years Diploma (after 10+2) in O.T. Technology from recognized Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Passing of 10+2 examination with Medical Stream with at least 50% aggregate and 55% Marks combined in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (45% in case reserved category) from any recognized board of school education.

OR

Having passed Diploma in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology with minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Passing of 10+2 examination with 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) with Physics & Chemistry & Biology from recognized Board / University.

Passing of 3 years Diploma (after Matric) or 2 years Diploma (after 10+2) in Radiotherapy Technology from recognized Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Passing of 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

OR

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

OR

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects

OR

Having passed 3 or 4 years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Passing of 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science / Agriculture with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology / Agriculture with atleast 50% Marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate from any Board recognized or established by Central / State Government through a legislation.

Passing of 10+2 or equivalent examination in Science Stream with atleast 50% Marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate from any Board recognized or established by Central / State Government through a legislation.

The prospective student must have 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks or equivalent in aggregate with Chemistry as one of the main subjects. A relaxation for the minimum marks will be as per Punjab government regulations.

Passing of 10+2 examination (Science) or 10+2 Arts with Food Preservation / Food Science and Technology Vocational subject of the Punjab School Education Board / C.B.S.E. / I.C.S.E. with 40% marks or any other equivalent Examination.

The prospective student must have 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks or equivalent in aggregate with Mathematics as one of the main subjects. Relaxation of the minimum marks to reserved category is as per Punjab Government notified rules.

Passing of 10+2 examination with Biology / Biotechnology from recognized Board / University / Council with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate.

Passing of 10+2 examination with Science (Medical / Non-Medical) or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

The prospective student must have 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% marks or equivalent in aggregate with Physics as one of the main subjects. A relaxation for the minimum marks will be as per Punjab government regulations.

Passing of 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

OR

Note: For B.Voc. (Data & Web Analytics) course student should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics / Statistics.

Passing of B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject and also obtained atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category) in aggregate from a University recognized by UGC.

Passing of B.A. / B.Sc. or equivalent Degree from a recognized University with Mathematics as one of the major subjects with atleast 50% marks in aggregate. Relaxation of the minimum marks to reserved category is as per Punjab Government notified rules.

Passing of B.Sc. in Medical stream / B.Sc. (Hons) in Microbiology / B.Sc. MLT with at least 50% Marks (45% in case of reserved category).

Passing of B.Sc. (Medical Technology-Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre) or Bachelor degree in any science discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case reserved category) or diploma holders in Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology with such (3-5) years of professional experience may be considered as the eligible candidates for the M.Sc. Program.

Passing of B.Sc. in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology / B.Sc. Medical Technology Radio diagnosis and Imaging / B.Sc. Radiological Technology / B.Sc. in Radiography / B.Sc. Medical Technology (X-ray) with a minimum 50% marks (45% in case of reserve category) in aggregate.

Having passed Bachelor degree in any science discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserve category) in aggregate or Passed Diploma in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology with such (3-5) years of professional experience may be considered as the eligible candidates for the MSc. Program.

Passing of Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Technology of minimum three years duration from a University recognized by UGC.

Having passed B.Sc. (IT) or BCA or B.Sc. (Animation & Multimedia Technology) or B.Sc. (CS) of minimum three years duration from a University recognized by UGC.

Having passed B.Sc. (Medical / Non-Medical) from a University recognized by UGC with Chemistry as one of the subject

B.Pharma

Eligibility Criteria of Pharmacy Courses (as notified in Session 2022-23)

Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective State / Central Government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry. Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects individually.

“However, the students possessing 10+2 qualification from non-formal and non-class rooms based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling, Open School Systems of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B. Pharm Course.”

OR

Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

A pass in any of the following examinations –

  • 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology.
  • A pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of Pharmacy Act.

Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

The eligibility criteria for admission to 2nd Year of B.Pharmacy course shall be same as notified / revised by PCI from time to time. As per letter Ref. No. 14-48/2012-PCI/4473 dated 30 Sep 2020 of Pharmacy Council of India the eligibility criteria for admission to 2nd Year of B.Pharmacy course is as under:-

All those candidates who have passed the diploma in Pharmacy from an Institution approved by PCI u/s 12 Pharmacy Act, 1948 with subject to following conditions:-

  • Such D.Pharm holders admitted directly to B.Pharmacy 2nd Year shall pass those subjects of B.Pharmacy 1st year which are not covered under D.Pharm.
  • At any given time the admission in B.Pharmacy 2nd year should not exceed the sanctioned intake of B.Pharmacy 1st year + 10% seats of sanctioned intake of B.Pharmacy 1st
  • The vacant seats of B.Pharmacy 1st year filled in the 2nd year should be only those that remained vacant in the 1st year and not created by the failure of students or not permitting the students for examination etc. for lack of attendance.

B.Pharma degree examination of an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four year of B. Pharm)

Provided that

a) For candidate having not less than 5 Years professional experience, after passing B. Pharma Course, there shall be relaxation in pass percentage from 55% to 50% for admission to M. Pharm programme.

b) For SC/ ST Candidates the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B. Pharm)

c) Every student, selected for admission to postgraduate pharmacy course in any of the pharmacy institution in the country should have obtained Registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

A pass in B.Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Eligibility Criteria of Architecture Courses (as notified in Session 2022-23)

No candidate, shall be admitted to Architecture Course unless he/she has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects from a board recognized or established by central/state government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject.

(The above relaxation shall be valid for the Academic Session 2022-23 only, irrespective of the year in which a candidate has passed 10+2 or 10+3 examination.)

As per Ministry of Education, Govt. of India Gazette Notification dated August 11, 2020 w.r.t. Minimum Standard of Architecture Education Regulations 2020, qualifying an Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) is mandatory for getting admission in B.Architecture course.

(Note: The weightage of Marks secured in the Test and qualifying examination will be counted in the ratio of 50:50.)

Passed 10+2 examination with eligibility as per table 1.3(a) of AICTE Approval Process Handbook 2022-23.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.

The eligibility criteria for admission to M. Architecture course is regular B. Arch. or Equivalent with atleast 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category).
