IKGPTU celebrated 75th Republic Day, Vice-Chancellor Dr Mittal unfurled the tricolor flag
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) with full of patriotisms. On this occasion Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor was the Chief Guest. The ceremony of hoisting the tricolor was performed by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Mittal. All the deans, Senior faculty, officers and other staff of the university welcomed Vice Chancellor in the command of Registrar Dr.S. K Misra. The national flag was saluted by the security staff with the tune of the national anthem.
The welcome speech in the program was read by Dean Students Welfare Dr. Gaurav Bhargava. In the keynote address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal shared the future plans of the University. He discussed efforts for the Academic growth, bring awareness to science education among school students before the new academic session. He praised the constitutional framework of the country and inspired all citizens to work equally. He congratulated everyone on Republic Day. During this, an honor ceremony for the security personals, NCC Cadets & children is also performed. Dean Academic Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla read the vote of thanks.
On this occasion, Dean College Development Dr. Balkar Singh, Dean R&D Dr. Hitesh Sharma, Controller Examinations Dr. Paramjit Singh, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia and others were present. The stage was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarabjit Singh Mann.
