Department of Students Welfare organized Webinar on Engineers Day.
The Department of Students Welfare organized a webinar on Engineer’s day with great enthusiasm. It is worthwhile to mention here that the Engineer’s Day is celebrated every year in India to commemorate the contribution of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya on his birth anniversary on 15 September. The faculty members and students of IKGPTU Main Campus and constituent Campuses participated in the webinar.
On this occasion The Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Ajay Kumar Sharma interacted with the Faculty, students, and Staff. He said it is all due to the consistent efforts of our engineers to provide all the necessary equipment’s and other infrastructure to meet the challenges of Covid pandemic. He said the university is capable to cater the academic needs of its students in covid pandemic. He further said our university is already working through e-office management file system. He shared the various initiatives of the university like connectivity of all the campuses through optic fiber, e-resources, startup grants and placements. He congratulated the faculty and students of engineering and motivates the students to serve the society through innovative engineering techniques.
Dean Research Dr A.P. Singh, Dean Students welfare Dr Y.S. Brar, Dean Academic Dr Vikas Chawla, Registrar Mr. S.K. Kazal, Joint Registrar Dr R.P.S. Bedi, Director Main campus Dr Neelkanth Grover also shared their valuable thoughts on the occasion. The webinar was hosted by Assistant Professor Dr Sarabjit Singh & coordinated by Assistant Director Youth Affairs Mr. Sumeer Sharma with all the technical support of In charge I.T.S Mr. Deepak Sidana & his team.
Various cultural activities, Short movies and model making activities were performed by the students of Main campus and constituent campuses. These activities were streamed online during the webinar session.
