New Regional Centres from academic session 2020-21 for M Tech & M Pharma – ACET, ISF College of Pharmacy

Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) on every subject is as much important as education is in modern era. An expert faculty can develop an expert society. Technology at world level is changing on hourly basis and we have to learn for the use of technology and to deliver the best to our students. These inspiring words are the part of message of Pro. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University. This message was read by FDP Coordinator Dr Rakesh Goyal on the valedictory session of one week national level Faculty Development Programme. The theme of FDP was “Internet of things (IOT) and Real Life Applications”. This has been organized by Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of IKGPTU main campus from December 02 to December 06, 2019.

This FDP was sponsored by IKGPTU and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). It was through AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy. Academy has been established to empower faculty to achieve goals of Higher Education such as access, equity and quality.

Dr Rakesh Goyal, FDP Coordinator received financial assistance from AICTE and IKGPTU to conduct this FDP. Total fifty eight faculty members and research scholars from eleven different institutes participated in this FDP.

He said that this program was proved its strength by receiving the worth feedback from participants during valedictory ceremony. It was very helpful in developing basic and practical knowledge of components of Internet of Things through making real-life IOT based projects. It targeted to give broad exposure to the research and industrial applicability of all engineering models including Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical and other recent ideas for the faculty members and research scholars to discuss the state of the art applications, perspective of future developments relevant to their field.

Various Experts from Academics and Industries shared their knowledge with participants and encouraged them to evolve IOT Projects and their implementation.
