IKGPTU Women staff, faculty and students celebrated I-Women’s Day with full enthusiasm

On the occasion of International Women’s day at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University Women staff, faculty and students landed on a joint platform to celebrate this day with full enthusiasm. University’s NSS Division organized this event as a joint venture with the special programme committee for the first time. In cultural events Gidha, Bhangra & Song singing were performed by the faculty, staff and students. A choreography song on Shree Krishna-Radha was on on top popularity. University’s Deputy Registrar Dr. Geet, Associate Professor Dr. Gagandeep Kaur and Deputy Librarian Madhu Midda remained in the Judgement panel.
A special discussion session was also held in which various officers and students presented their views on the current challenges to womanhood. During the discussion jointly revealed that women are playing their leading role in creating a new society. From economics to sports, women in all areas have done the best. Apart from mentioning the topics related to dignity and respects of women were also in the discussion. There was talk of the combined role of men and women in society too. On this occasion, University’s Deputy Controller Finance Dr. Nitya Sharma, NSS Program Officer Dr. Anshu Bhasin, Dr. Rupali Batra, Dr. Rajpreet Kaur, Dr. Megha Goyal and other female employees, officers and faculty members were present
