IKGPTU & Wadhwani Foundation shared proposal to Ignite Entrepreneurial Excellence
Jalandhar/Kapurthala/Chandigarh The team of Wadhwani Foundation, working at the global level in entrepreneurship and skill development, has knocked at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University main campus. The team of Wadhwani Foundation reached the university with proposals of various levels and shared it with the heads of various departments of the university under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal. The proposals will not only prove effective in giving new ideas to the students of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University to move ahead in entrepreneurship in the future but will also work together to make the faculty proficient in the new era technology. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal and senior officials have welcomed the proposals of the foundation and have agreed to move forward in the future soon.
The Foundation team was led by Dayakar Murthy, Director Partnerships, Wadhwani Foundation. He said that the Foundation is a non-profit organization that works globally to promote economic expansion in emerging economies. It promotes employment generation through comprehensive initiatives in entrepreneurship and skill development. The organization also works on digitizing government services and advancing educational innovations to achieve business success and wider social impact.
The Foundation proposed “Ignite program” on 12 modules to the university. It is written that this program will be a launchpad for tomorrow’s innovators, leaders and changemakers. This program has been prepared by entrepreneurs, industry leaders and teachers. This is not just a course, but it is a mission to create an entrepreneurial mindset and prepare students for employment and business start-ups. The proposal also includes a point to bring academic competence through Faculty Development Program (FDP).
The university has considered the ultra-modern proposals of the foundation to be extremely useful for the students, faculty and colleges affiliated to the university at the primary level. The university’s Dean Dr. Y. S. Brar, Dr. R. P. S. Bedi, Dr Balkar Singh, Dr. Satbir Singh, Dr. Gaurav Bhargava, department heads Prof. (Dr.) Harmeen Soch, Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Chauhan, Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Bedi, Prof. (Dr.) Monika Sachdev and others were present in the proposal sharing meeting.
