IKGPTU Team Participated in International Conference held in Vietnam

– Vice Chancellor Dr. Susheel Mittal & Registrar Dr. Misra termed participation as the beginning of a better future in the interest of entrepreneurial & employment opportunities

Jalandhar/Kapurthala Two members of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) participated in an International Conference held in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam. The International Conference was organized with the aim of promoting investment, development, trade and tourism with Indian partners. Dr. Vikramjeet, faculty IKGPTU and Dr. Mrigender Singh Bedi, Assistant Director Corporate Relations & Alumni, IKGPTU were the part of Indian delegation to Vietnam for participation in an International Conference to promote investment and development trade and tourism with Indian partners in Binh Dinh province, Vietnam. The said conference was organised by Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee with the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh, co-chair of the Conference – through the Indian Consulate and Department of Education, Vietnam expressed their willingness to sign an MoU with IKG PTU soon.

The Vietnamese government officials expressed special interest that IKG PTU Campus & its affiliated colleges should focus on developing entrepreneurial mindset and startup ecosystems that are inclined towards specific domains such as tourism, imports & exports, hospitality and Ed-tech.

The Consulate General of India is committed to continuing its role as a bridge for the business communities of the two countries, creating favourable conditions for import and export activities and attracting investment from India’s diverse fields to Vietnam.

Dr. Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor and Dr. S K Misra, Registrar, IKG PTU envisioned the expansion of University in Southeastern Countries through collaborations with different organizations at different scales – to provide the students with exposure to the culture and development in those countries as well as a platform for exchange of ideas and expertise in various domains. Members from the University are sent as Government Delegations to such events with this progressive and collaborative vision in mind.
