Jalandhar/Kapurthala To strengthen the organizational capacities through human resource interventions, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) opened the Center for Executive Education (CEE) at its main campus. It was inaugurated on Monday by the Vice Chancellor of University Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal. University Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra will be the head of this centre. The center operation team will consist of two deputy registrars and clerical staff, who will act as a link between the subject experts and the institutions. The first agenda of the center will be to increase the working efficiency of university officers, official staff, faculty, increase their efficiency and provide training for success. In future, this center will also provide professional training to people from different fields.

In the inaugural session, the university officers, faculty and staff and guests were given information about the basic concepts of CEE. During this, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, who was the chief guest, said that apart from bookish, academic education, practical education will be imparted here. He said that the center will prove to be a milestone and in future this center will fulfill the professional needs of various sectors.

University Registrar and Head of the Centre, Dr. S.K. Misra said that the aim of the Center is to improve the organizational structure and strengthen the capabilities of the personnel. This center will prepare strategies for diverse services and will work to strengthen the better organizational structure of various sectors from education to industry. Making long-term plans and guiding for the success of those plans is the main principle of the center, he said that leadership skills, motivated work force, organizational commitments, functional training etc. will be the focus areas of this centre.

Dean Academic Prof (Dr) Vikas Chawla congratulated the Center team for this great new endeavor and considered the future plans to be extremely beneficial for the University system.

During this, a brochure full of information about the center was also released. On this occasion, Dean College Development Dr. Balkar Singh, Dean Faculty Dr. Satbir Singh, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia, Controller Examinations Dr. Paramjeet Singh and others were present. The stage was moderated by Saurabh Sharma, Deputy Registrar of CEE.
