IKGPTU Department of Management hosts 02 Expert Lectures in series of SIP 2025

Jalandhar/Kapurthala The Department of Management Studies and Department of Hotel Management of I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) main campus successfully conducted the Student Induction Program (SIP) 2025 till the first week of August 2025. The program aimed to welcome newly admitted students in the courses like BBA, MBA, and BHMCT programs. It also aims to provide them with an orientation to academic practices, campus facilities, and career opportunities in related courses. The admission to the BBA, MBA, and BHMCT programs is open and shall close on August 14, 2025. The induction program included expert talks, interactive sessions, and a departmental tour to help students acclimatize to university life.
In this SIP series, the Key speakers included Dr. Rajinder Pal, Assistant Commissioner (Food Safety), who spoke on hygiene and food safety practices; Mr. Amit Madaan, Chairman, International Board of Startup & Entrepreneurship, who discussed entrepreneurship and growth strategies; and Dr. Mrigendra Bedi, who provided insights into startup ecosystems and incubation facilities available at IKGPTU main campus.
The best wishes message of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Susheel Mittal was also shared with students. Through his message Vice Chancellor Dr Mittal motivate students about their new journey & kick start of entrepreneurial efforts & initiatives.
Dr. Harmeen Soch, Head of the Department, delivered an inspiring address on the department’s vision and mission. The program was successfully coordinated by Dr. Mandeep Kaur and Dr. Rajpreet Kaur, Assistant Professors, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of all sessions. The induction program laid a strong foundation for students by encouraging leadership, innovation, and active engagement.
