Jalandhar/Kapurthala I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) students shine in various fields. University’s two different Academic department students achieved prizes in different fields. Mr. Ritik, a student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has clinched the 3rd position and a cash prize of Rs 11,000/- at the Startup Thrive event. The event was hosted by Chandigarh Group of Engineering (CGC) Landran on March 14-15, 2024. It was organized by Atal Community Innovation Centre (ACIC) RISE Association, with support from AIM, NITI Aayog (Govt. of India). The event aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship culture in semi-urban and rural India.
Ritik’s success not only reflects his personal dedication and innovative spirit but also serves as a shining example of the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within our university community. Despite his academic commitments, Ritik has managed to effectively balance his studies with his entrepreneurial pursuits. His startup, “Redomart,” specializes in unique and locally made home decor products, showcasing his creativity and commitment to promoting Indian craftsmanship.
Mr. Shubham Kumar, B.tech Civil engineering, 8th Sem Main Campus student qualified all India level GATE exam. This student is also shortlisted for Build India Scholarship 2024 Test. From 2020, Civil Engineering students are keeping this trend. This shows the testimonials of teaching learning practices adopted at University campus
