Jalandhar/Kapurthala I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University’s Senior Faculty Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bedi, Associate Professor, Department of CSE & his team successfully registered his innovative project for patent. The patent application was for the “Network Security Device.” It was jointly filed by Dr. Rajeev Kumar Bedi, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, IKGPTU Kapurthla, Dr. Mohit Angurala, Associate Professor, AIT-CSE, Chandigarh University, Dr. Rasmeet S. Bali, Additional Director, AIT-CSE, Chandigarh University and Dr. Sonal Rattan, Assistant Professor, AIT-CSE, Chandigarh University. This groundbreaking application meticulously showcases the innovative design of the device, aiming to revolutionize the landscape of network security hardware.

University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal congratulated Senior Faculty Dr Rajeev Bedi & his associated team who took initiative of this project & finally got registered as patent. VC Prof. (Dr.) Mittal motivates other faculty members too to do the best for innovation & research.

Registrar Dr. S K Misra called this achievement a milestone for the University academics. He appreciated the innovative work towards the project.

Dr. Rajeev Bedi shared that the patent application places a strong emphasis on the structural elements of the “Network Security Device,” highlighting the importance of both visual appeal and practical considerations in its design. Unlike traditional network security devices, this design prioritizes form over specific technical features, presenting distinctive perspectives from various angles, including right and left sides, front, rear, top, and bottom views.

The “Network Security Device” promises to be a potential game-changer in the realm of network security. With its unique characteristics, it offers not only functional efficacy but also remarkable visual attractiveness in safeguarding digital infrastructures.
