IKGPTU celebrated National Voters’ day on Jan.25th
Department of Electrical Engineering Organized awareness session
On the occasion of National Voters’ day 2024, the department of Electrical Engineering, I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Main campus celebrated the event with the faculty, staff and students on January 25, 2024. Prof. (Dr.) Yadwinder Singh Brar, HOD-EE inspired the students for casting the vote and explained to them the importance of voting in society. He highlighted that it is our fundamental duty to cast our vote. All students and staff members of the EE department took the Voter’s Day Pledge for voting during the event.
Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Chawla-Dean Academics explained that voting can bring a significant influence in society. He encouraged more young voters for the active participation in the political process.
In the event patronized by the Vice Chancellor IKGPTU, Prof.(Dr.) Susheel Mittal, he enlightened the importance of voting as per Indian constitution to the students.
Dr. S.K. Misra, Registrar, IKGPTU, congratulated the organizing team & students for attending this event and motivated them for active participation in the voting process. Finally, a group photograph was taken and the event ended with vote of thanks to all present.
