Brief Biography

Dr. Vandana Naithani, Assistant Professor has over 16 years of teaching and research experience and Administrative experience of 3 years In IKG PTU. She has organised various workshops, seminar and worked on establishing Entrepreneurship development cells (EDC) of the university and also worked as Ph.D. coordinator in the university. She has published  11 Research Papers in journals of International and National repute. She has presented Research papers in various national and international conferences. Her area of interest is Environmental Chemistry specially working on Soil and Water pollution. Currently she is also involved in the synthesis of catalysts and their applications in removal of air and water pollution. She has guided one PhD student and four post graduate students (M.Sc.-Chemistry).

  • 2011-2014: Industry Coordinator: Responsibilities held as Industry Defined Projects (IDP):  worked with I K Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU), Kapurthala, as Industry Liasioning officer. I was responsible to coordinate colleges for Industry Defined Projects (IDP). IDP is a Funding scheme of Rs. 25000/- for B.Tech/M.Tech students under which students have to work on real life problem of an industry in their six-month training period. Many industrial projects have been completed successfully. Entrepreneurship development cells (EDC): worked on establishing Entrepreneurship development cells (EDC). Business clubs were opened in nine colleges of IKGPTU. Coordinated activities of innovation during which students got awards. Organised Workshops:   organized 5 workshops related to industry defined projects. Co-oordinator of Ph.D Cell: Co-ordinated the Ph.D programme of the IKG PTU University.
