Dr. Barinderjit Singh earned a B.Tech (Food Technology), M.Tech. (Food Engineering and Technology), Ph.D. (Food Technology) and MBA (Operation Management). Apart from this, he also holds to his credit PG Diploma in Dairy Technology, Diploma in Export Management and Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma in the French language. He is also trained in implementing HACCP, ISO 9001: quality management system, ISO 22000: Food Safety Management System and Plant Hygiene and Sanitation. He has more than 18 years of work experience in both academics and the food industries. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor at I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Punjab, India. He is doing extensive research on the value addition of the agro-industrial waste, process optimization, advertising evaluation, AI and machine learning in food supply chain and business management. He has contributed over 120 scientific papers in different national/international journals and conferences, 26 book chapters, and 17 books in food science/technology/engineering/management. He has received eight best paper awards at various national/international conferences and the Young Scientist award and IRSD Preeminent Academic Excellence award by the International Institute of Organized Research, India. Furthermore, he has granted 16 patents. He is a fellow member of the International Institute of Organized Research, India.
