Barinderjit Singh earned a B.Tech (Food Technology), M.Tech. (Food Engineering and Technology), Ph.D. (Food Technology) and MBA (Operation Management). Apart from this, he also holds to his credit a PG Diploma in Dairy Technology, Diploma in Export Management and Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma in the French language. He is also trained in implementing HACCP, ISO 9001: quality management system, ISO 22000: Food Safety Management System and Plant Hygiene and Sanitation. He has more than 16 years of work experience in both academics and the food industries. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Punjab, India. He is doing extensive research on the value addition of agro-industrial waste, process optimization, AI and machine learning in food supply chains and business management. He has contributed over 100 scientific papers to different national/international journals and conferences, 20 book chapters, and 13 books in food science/technology/engineering/management. He has received eight best paper awards at various national/international conferences and young scientist award from the International Institute of Organized Research, India. Recently, he is selected for IRSD Preeminent Academic Excellence award 2022. Furthermore, he has been granted eleven patents. He is a fellow member of International Institute of Organized Research, India.
