Empowering Global Exposure Through Internships: AIESEC Conducts Insightful Session at IKGPTU

Jalandhar/Kapurthala () The Office of Corporate Relations & Alumni, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), in collaboration with AIESEC, successfully organized an informative session on International Internship Opportunities at the Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium of the main campus.
The session witnessed the presence of distinguished delegates from AIESEC, including Ms. Ria, Head of Incoming Corporate Sector, AIESEC in India, and Ms. Rashi, Head of Outgoing Exchanges, AIESEC in India, along with representatives from AIESEC in Jalandhar.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal, Vice Chancellor, IKGPTU, and commenced with a floral welcome of the dignitaries, followed by a keynote address delivered by Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu, Registrar and Head (Corporate Relations & Alumni), IKGPTU, who encouraged students to explore global opportunities and enhance their professional competencies.
The session was led by the Outgoing Exchanges team of AIESEC, who provided detailed insights into international internship programs, the application process, available countries and sectors, and the benefits of gaining global exposure. They highlighted how such opportunities help students develop cross-cultural understanding, leadership skills, and industry-relevant experience.
During the session, the speakers emphasized the importance of stepping out of comfort zones, taking initiative, and building a global mindset to stay competitive in today’s dynamic professional environment.
An engaging interactive session followed, where students actively participated and raised queries regarding application procedures, eligibility criteria, and real-life experiences of AIESEC programs.
The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the esteemed delegates and a vote of thanks delivered by Er. Mohit Jain, Assistant Registrar (Corporate Relations & Alumni), IKGPTU, who expressed gratitude to AIESEC and all contributors for organizing such a valuable and impactful session.
