Jalandhar, February 14, 2025 – The engineering batch of the 2024-2028 session at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) celebrated its freshers’ party, ANANT 2024, with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event was held at Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium and witnessed a remarkable turnout of students and faculty members.

The program commenced with a warm welcome to the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Vikas Chawla (Dean Academics), along with Dr. Satvir Singh (Dean Student Welfare) and Dr. Y.S. Brar (Dean Research & Development). The event officially began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the enlightenment and knowledge that the students embark upon in their academic journey.

A series of cultural performances followed, including Bhangra, solo and duo dance performances, solo singing, and a spectacular ramp walk competition. The highlight of the event was the competition for prestigious titles such as Mr. Handsome, Miss Charming, Mr. Talented, Miss Talented, Mr. Fresher, and Miss Fresher.

To ensure the comfort of students and staff, breakfast and lunch were arranged for all attendees. The program concluded with an energetic open DJ session, where students celebrated with music and dance. The event successfully wrapped with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Prithvi, appreciating the efforts of all participants, organizers, and faculty members.

ANANT 2024 truly marked the beginning of a vibrant and exciting journey for the freshers, leaving them with cherished memories of their major event at IKGPTU.
