Academic and College Development Department is backbone of all the academics activities in University. The functions of Academic branch are framing and implementation of academic regulations for university campuses and for affiliated colleges, preparing annual academic calendar, framing, updating and implementation of syllabus for various courses, implementation of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), records and processing of cases relating to meetings of various academic bodies viz. Academic Council, Faculties, Board of Studies meetings, propose Award, Medals and Prizes to the students of University, Constituent colleges and affiliated colleges, conduct of Academic Seminars, Conferences, and workshop, proposal for starting Vocational /Special Skill Oriented Courses/new courses and Organizing Faculty Development Programmes in affiliated colleges. The functions of Admission cell are formulation of admission policy and procedure, preparation /publication of various brochures, conduct of Centralized online Counselling, Admission and Registration of National / International students under various courses, Audit of New and Existing Colleges, Calculation and Collection of Admission processing fee, Checking, auditing and Maintenance of database of students.

The College Development Section is looking after the affiliation, renewal of affiliation and opening of new colleges & Regional Centre of the University. This Department is also responsible for ensuring academic standards and implementation of academic norms. This department is also looking after appointment of faculty & principals in the affiliated institutes. This department also liaison with AICTE & UGC for proper implementation of policies and standard in all affiliated colleges. College Development Department works under Dean (Academics). College Development Department consist of two main cells i.e. Affiliation Cell which monitors Regional Centres, AICTE Colleges, UGC Colleges, Affiliation Fees etc. and Quality Assurance Cell monitors academic audit of the Colleges, recruitment and registration of Faculty and Principal in Colleges.
