Office of Corporate Relations & Alumni, I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), organized an informative session on “Internship Opportunities by NIELIT Ropar” for the students at the Main Campus on April 20, 2026.
The session commenced with a formal welcome of the dignitaries. Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu, Registrar & Head (CR&A), IKGPTU, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of internships in enhancing practical skills, industry exposure, and overall career development.
The expert talk was delivered by Dr. Sarwan Singh, Joint Director, NIELIT Ropar, who provided valuable insights into various internship opportunities offered by NIELIT. He elaborated on the significance of skill-based learning, emerging industry requirements, and the role of internships in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications.
During the session, students were guided on available training programs, technical skill enhancement, and career pathways through NIELIT initiatives. The speaker also encouraged students to actively participate in such opportunities to strengthen their professional competencies.
