The Office of Corporate Relations & Alumni at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University successfully organized an insightful Alumni Talk at Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium, IKG PTU Main Campus, Kapurthala on March 19, 2026.

The session commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu, Registrar & Head (CR&A), who welcomed the guest and encouraged students to make the most of such interactive learning opportunities.

The Alumni Talk was delivered by Mr. Ankur Raj Singh, Associate Consultant at Capgemini and an alumnus of the 2021 batch. He shared valuable insights from his professional journey and provided students with a practical understanding of corporate culture and expectations.

During his interaction, he emphasized that discipline is the foundation of long-term sustainability and highlighted the importance of consistency in both academic and extracurricular activities. He encouraged students to actively participate in extracurricular pursuits, stating that they play an equally important role in overall personality development.

He further advised students to focus on mastering one skill or domain rather than scattering efforts across multiple pursuits. He stressed that avoiding procrastination is essential for success and that consistent efforts lead to meaningful results.

A key takeaway from the session was the importance of effective communication skills in building a successful career. He also motivated students to embrace failures as learning opportunities, encouraging them to remain resilient, not give up, and always restart with determination from where they left off.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A session, followed by a felicitation ceremony. The formal proceedings ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Er. Mohit Jain, Assistant Registrar (CR&A).

The event was also graced by the presence of Mr. Sumeer Sharma, Assistant Director (Youth Affairs) and Mr. Sindhant Rakesh, Industrial Coordinator (BIC).
