IKGPTU celebrated its 29th Foundation Day, Vice Chancellor released University Calendar 2025

Jalandhar/Kapurthala The 29th Foundation Day celebrations were held at I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) on Thursday at its main campus Kapurthala road. On the foundation day, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Susheel Mittal called upon all the stakeholders associated with the university to give priority to team work to provide empowered education to the new generation with a new vision. From the stage of the foundation day celebration, his message was to focus on expanding the team members of various levels of the university & do discussions to provide best services with transparent practices at university. Vice Chancellor Dr. Mittal attended the function as the chief guest. He also released the university calendar 2025.
University Registrar Dr. SK Misra joined the event as guest of honor. The chief coordinator of the program was Joint Registrar cum Dean (Alumni and International Affairs) Dr. R.P.S. Bedi and he command the host team of the ceremony.
The 29th Foundation Day celebrations began with lighting of the lamp in Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium. Dean Dr. R.P.S. Bedi gave the welcome address. After this, University Registrar Dr. S.K. Misra read the annual report, in which he gave information about implementing the recommendations of the Pay Commission in the benefits of employees, giving service to the dependents of deceased employees, giving the benefit of increased pay scale to officers and faculty, agreements made with various institutions of the university to promote the skills & supportive work, about establishment of Business Incubation Center & Initiatives of Center for Executive Education CEE, Placement of students and startup.
Dean Academic Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Chawla shared information about academic initiatives. The vote of thanks was presented by Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia.
During this event, the students of the University main campus also presented a cultural program on the stage. Foundation Day started in the morning session and end with “Guru ka Langar” in the afternoon. The stage was conducted by Deputy Registrar Public Relations Rajneesh Sharma. University Dean Dr. Gaurav Bhargava, Dr. Satbir Singh, Controller of Examinations Dr. Paramjeet Singh along with all the officials, faculty members, students and staff participated enthusiastically in the ceremony.
