IKG PTU launched 30-day Punjabi typing training programme for Employees
Jalandhar/KapurthalaThe Centre for Executive Education (CEE) of I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) has launched a training program on typing in Punjabi language in various fonts. This training is mainly for the Office Assistants of the university, especially for those who need to further strengthen their typing skills for their daily work at university. This training program will continue for thirty working days (till 7 December 2024). Under the leadership of University Registrar cum Center Head Dr. S.K. Misra, S. Bhalwinder Singh Dhanaula, who is working as a Senior Assistant in the University, is teaching all the participants as a trainer in this training programme.
While inaugurating the Punjabi typing training programme, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal said that although the University has the goal and authority to promote technical education by act, the University also has full responsibility towards the mother tongue Punjabi, which will always be fulfilled. Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Susheel Mittal said that the participants should take the best advantage of such training programs. He motivated everyone so that there is no difficulty in performing their official work in Punjabi language.
Dr. S.K. Misra, Head of Center for Executive Education and University Registrar, said that the University has always been trying to promote the Punjabi language and the first conference on Artificial Intelligence and Punjabi language was also organized by IKG PTU in the state. Similarly, this initiative is also another responsible step towards promoting the Punjabi language. He said that the official work of the University is being done completely in Punjabi only.
Deputy Registrar of the Center, Saurabh Sharma said that this training program will help the Office Assistants of the University in performing their roles and responsibilities efficiently as well as in their career progress.
